Homebrewing for experts

Advanced homebrewers want to have the entire brewing process under their control. For them, Brewferm developed its malt kits with balanced ingredients. Eight different recipes for Belgian beers are available, as well as several of the well-known German beertypes.

The Brewferm malt kits include all the ingredients required to brew 20 litres of beer: the malt, any specialty grains like wheat or flaked corn, hops, any herbs and of course a special selected dry brewer’s yeast. The Brewferm malt kits were composed by our master brewer according to tested recipes and were weighed accurately and packed for optimal freshness.

Brew your own beer in only ten steps using the Brewferm malt kits:

  1. Crushing the malt using a malt mill.
  2. Mashing: saccharification of the starch.
  3. Lautering: separate the wort from the grain.
  4. Hopboiling: to give your beer the necessary bitterness.
  5. Cooling of the wort: use the special Brewferm work cooler for quick cooling.
  6. Prepare yeast starter and add to the wort.

  1. First fermentation: takes approximately ten days.
  2. Control of the fermentation: measure density.
  3. Bottling: adding sugar for the 2nd fermentation in the bottle or in a cask.
  4. Invite your friends for a party with your home-brewed beer after 6-8 weeks!

Note: this is only a short stepped plan. Always refer to the detailed instructions in the packaging and follow the brewing instructions provided carefully for an optimal result when brewing.
